Kubota donated rice planting machines to IRRI

In support of advocacy for the Philippines of food production self-sufficiency through agricultural mechanization
Kubota Philippines, Inc. (KPI), the exclusive Philippine distributor of Kubota agricultural machineries, donated an NSPU-68CMD rice transplanter, an SR-K800PH automatic seeder, and 1,000 pieces nursery tray to the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) on November 24, 2017. The donation of rice planting machines was the highlight of KPI’s corporate social responsibility campaign for 2017. The donation is in support of KPI and IRRI’s advocacy for the Philippines of food production self-sufficiency through agricultural mechanization. Leading the turnover ceremonies were KPI president and general manager Yoshiaki Onishi, IRRI’s Zeigler Experiment Station head Dr. James Quilty, and IRRI Education head Dr. Peter Brothers. The ceremonies were held at the IRRI office in Los Baños, Laguna.
