UMAANI Expo 2017 in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan

KPI extended its support to provincial activities as it took part in Pangasinan’s UMAANI Agri-Industrial Expo and Trade Fair 2017 held last March 28 to April 1, 2017. The activity was organized by the Provincial Agricultural Office in Brgy. Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. UMAANI Expo aims to hold a festival that would give recognition to the contributions of farmers, fisher folks and other stakeholders in agriculture and subsequently, exhibit the outstanding products that the event participants offer. This included booths that display harvested crops, livestock products and agri-machineries of different brands. Booths for the Agricultural Training Institute and other government services centers were also present in the event.

 

As part of the agricultural industry, KPI is known to have relatively the widest product range which contribute to the stable production of food and have catered needs of Philippine agriculture including, of course, those of Northern and Central Luzon. In order to further showcase Kubota products and continuously advance its accessibility to individuals and organizations, Kubota placed a booth that exhibited some of its high quality units: the L3608 and L5018 tractors, DC-35 and DC-70 with CK-70 combine harvesters. In addition, Region 2 authorized dealer Northern Asia Sales Corporation participated in the event through a booth which displayed Kubota units as well.

 

KPI’s involvement in the event was highly interactive as it welcomed and promptly addressed queries from various event attendees through short discussions with the company’s engineers and marketing team. Additionally, as part of the program, product demonstrations took place in the Farm Mechanization Demo Area headed by KPI’s engineers and operators which involved L5018 (tractor) with KRX193 (implement) that highlighted their remarkable specifications and features.

The continuous development of agriculture through efficient farm mechanization is evident and essential not only to the agricultural sector but also to the overall well-being of each particular area in the country. This is especially highlighted in the speech by Santiago City Mayor Engr. Joseph Tan as he welcomed the participants and attendees of Araw ng mga Magsasaka held last May 4, 2017 at the Integrated Transport Terminal Complex in Santiago City, Isabela. He emphasized in his speech the importance of becoming accustomed to mechanization in farm operations as it is one of the major keys in coping with the demands in the agricultural industry.

 

During the event, KPI, in partnership with Region 2 authorized dealers, Agri Component Corporation and Equity Machineries Inc., was able to proudly exhibit its outstanding units: L3608 and L5018 tractors, SPW-4C and NSPU-68CMD rice transplanters, SR-K800PH automatic seeder, and DC-70 combine harvester. The event was attended by around 800 participants which consist of farmer associations, irrigator associations, cooperatives, farmers and local government employees who were, of course, incredibly interested with KPI products that many requested for demonstrations. KPI operator/mechanic Mr. Bryan Delos Santos led the demonstration of SR-K800PH (automatic seeder) which features and specifications were discussed by Mr. Alistair Ruidera from KPI Sales and Marketing team. The demonstration was assisted by staff members of Agri Component.

Aside from agriculture-related displays, Araw ng Magsasaka also included fun and entertainment activities in their program such as a boodle fight led by Mayor Tan, corn-eating contest, kilawin with chili eating contest, free haircut service etc.

KPI Partners with TPE Machineries

In order to maximize the awareness of farmers about the various agro-industrial machineries that are already available in the area, T.P.E. Machineries Inc., an authorized dealer of KPI, held a Product Awareness Program in Brgy. Tubtub, Brooke’s Point, Palawan last May 4, 2017 which was well-attended by individuals and representatives from various organizations in the area.

 

The program opened with a few words from the Regional Sales Manger of KPI, Mr. Sherwin Carlos, who welcomed the participants and carefully explained the objectives of the activity. It was followed by a short speech from the owner of T.P.E., Ms. Mely Espanola which focused on the importance of coping with the continuous development of the agricultural sector that could be ensured through efficient mechanization in farm operations. Short lectures by the KPI engineers followed as they imparted the technical know-hows and the information on the proven benefits of utilizing KPI units. Engr. Jonathan Nantiza explained how the concept of agricultural mechanization is vastly advantageous for rice and/or corn farming in the area. Engr. Mark Soriano’s lecture highlighted the powerful and dependable features and specifications of the existing Kubota products from land preparation to harvesting.

 

Moreover, to ensure that product awareness is fully grasped, demonstrations for L3608 (tractor) and DC-70 (combine harvester) led by KPI operator/mechanic, Gerwen Bernabe, took place in a rice field near the program venue. A discussion among the engineers and participants came about prior to the actual demonstration. The program ended with a lunch provided by KPI and the dealer.

Kubota Heads Over to Iloilo for Makina Expo 2017

Kubota Philippines Inc. partners up with Iloilo New Agri Industrial Marketing and General Services headed by Engr. Ely Bagtasus for the 5th Makina Expo organized by the Department of Agriculture. Held simultaneously at the state-of-the-art Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) and Western Visayas Integrated Agricultural Research Center (WESVIARC) on September 7-9, 2017, the convention aims to enhance the awareness and access to agri-mechanization technologies available in the country and related government policies.

 

Formerly dubbed as Makina Saka, the Makina Expo 2017 was attended and graced by Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, Senator Cynthia A. Villar. The 3-day event was said to have been attended by around 5,000 participants which include farmers association, cooperatives, farmers, local government employees and representatives from other agricultural machineries companies.

 

Kubota and Iloilo New Agri’s booth displayed a powerful line up of covering all machineries from land preparation to transplanting and harvesting. Tractor displays range from B2140 (21 hp), B2420 (24 hp), L3218 (32 hp), L3608 (36hp) L4018 (40 hp), L5018 (50 hp), and M9540 (95 hp). Display units of transplanters SPW-48C and NSPU-68CMD were present including the SR-K800PH automatic seeder. The Kubota displays were even made more powerful by the outstanding combine harvesters DC-35 and DC-70. Furthermore, the L3608 was among the tractor models featured in the demonstration at the WESVIARC.
