Thanks to success of our business in the Philippines, KPI has come to be able to give a hand to social problem. KPI started to have outreach program from 2016. On its first outreach program, KPI visited orphanage and participated in fun program with orphans.

KPI thinks that social responsibility is important because our business is supported by local community. It can be small contribution and KPI is willing to do it step by step.

KPI extended its support to provincial activities as it took part in Pangasinan’s UMAANI Agri-Industrial Expo and Trade Fair 2017 held last March 28 to April 1, 2017. The activity was organized by the Provincial Agricultural Office in Brgy. Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. UMAANI Expo aims to hold a festival that would give recognition to the contributions of farmers, fisher folks and other stakeholders in agriculture and subsequently, exhibit the outstanding products that the event participants offer. This included booths that display harvested crops, livestock products and agri-machineries of different brands. Booths for the Agricultural Training Institute and other government services centers were also present in the event.

As part of the agricultural industry, KPI is known to have relatively the widest product range which contribute to the stable production of food and have catered needs of Philippine agriculture including, of course, those of Northern and Central Luzon. In order to further showcase Kubota products and continuously advance its accessibility to individuals and organizations, Kubota placed a booth that exhibited some of its high quality units: the L3608 and L5018 tractors, DC-35 and DC-70 with CK-70 combine harvesters. In addition, Region 2 authorized dealer Northern Asia Sales Corporation participated in the event through a booth which displayed Kubota units as well.

KPI’s involvement in the event was highly interactive as it welcomed and promptly addressed queries from various event attendees through short discussions with the company’s engineers and marketing team. Additionally, as part of the program, product demonstrations took place in the Farm Mechanization Demo Area headed by KPI’s engineers and operators which involved L5018 (tractor) with KRX193 (implement) that highlighted their remarkable specifications and features.

The continuous development of agriculture through efficient farm mechanization is evident and essential not only to the agricultural sector but also to the overall well-being of each particular area in the country. This is especially highlighted in the speech by Santiago City Mayor Engr. Joseph Tan as he welcomed the participants and attendees of Araw ng mga Magsasaka held last May 4, 2017 at the Integrated Transport Terminal Complex in Santiago City, Isabela. He emphasized in his speech the importance of becoming accustomed to mechanization in farm operations as it is one of the major keys in coping with the demands in the agricultural industry.

During the event, KPI, in partnership with Region 2 authorized dealers, Agri Component Corporation and Equity Machineries Inc., was able to proudly exhibit its outstanding units: L3608 and L5018 tractors, SPW-4C and NSPU-68CMD rice transplanters, SR-K800PH automatic seeder, and DC-70 combine harvester. The event was attended by around 800 participants which consist of farmer associations, irrigator associations, cooperatives, farmers and local government employees who were, of course, incredibly interested with KPI products that many requested for demonstrations. KPI operator/mechanic Mr. Bryan Delos Santos led the demonstration of SR-K800PH (automatic seeder) which features and specifications were discussed by Mr. Alistair Ruidera from KPI Sales and Marketing team. The demonstration was assisted by staff members of Agri Component.

Aside from agriculture-related displays, Araw ng Magsasaka also included fun and entertainment activities in their program such as a boodle fight led by Mayor Tan, corn-eating contest, kilawin with chili eating contest, free haircut service etc.

In order to maximize the awareness of farmers about the various agro-industrial machineries that are already available in the area, T.P.E. Machineries Inc., an authorized dealer of KPI, held a Product Awareness Program in Brgy. Tubtub, Brooke’s Point, Palawan last May 4, 2017 which was well-attended by individuals and representatives from various organizations in the area.

The program opened with a few words from the Regional Sales Manger of KPI, Mr. Sherwin Carlos, who welcomed the participants and carefully explained the objectives of the activity. It was followed by a short speech from the owner of T.P.E., Ms. Mely Espanola which focused on the importance of coping with the continuous development of the agricultural sector that could be ensured through efficient mechanization in farm operations. Short lectures by the KPI engineers followed as they imparted the technical know-hows and the information on the proven benefits of utilizing KPI units. Engr. Jonathan Nantiza explained how the concept of agricultural mechanization is vastly advantageous for rice and/or corn farming in the area. Engr. Mark Soriano’s lecture highlighted the powerful and dependable features and specifications of the existing Kubota products from land preparation to harvesting.

Moreover, to ensure that product awareness is fully grasped, demonstrations for L3608 (tractor) and DC-70 (combine harvester) led by KPI operator/mechanic, Gerwen Bernabe, took place in a rice field near the program venue. A discussion among the engineers and participants came about prior to the actual demonstration. The program ended with a lunch provided by KPI and the dealer.

Mechanical skills contest among our authorized Kubota dealers was held during our national dealer conference. At first stage, trained 100 dealer’s mechanics (including some owners!!) had paper test related to product knowledge then top 6 were elected as finalist. Finalists were tackling with 3 problems of tractor prepared by KPI in advance and compete with time to solve them. It was an exciting race to heat up technicians as well as all dealers. The winner of fierce competition this year was Mr. LEO Q. VILLACILLO from Go Tracktor trading. He was invited to our factory tour in Japan as a prize and brought back more knowledge about Kubota product.

It is very important to maintain and improve quality of service by Kubota authorized dealers. KPI will do continuously for delivering quality service through our dealers.

September 7- 9, 2017

Kubota Philippines Inc. partners up with Iloilo New Agri Industrial Marketing and General Services headed by Engr. Ely Bagtasus for the 5th Makina Expo organized by the Department of Agriculture. Held simultaneously at the state-of-the-art Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) and Western Visayas Integrated Agricultural Research Center (WESVIARC) on September 7-9, 2017, the convention aims to enhance the awareness and access to agri-mechanization technologies available in the country and related government policies.

Formerly dubbed as Makina Saka, the Makina Expo 2017 was attended and graced by Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, Senator Cynthia A. Villar. The 3-day event was said to have been attended by around 5,000 participants which include farmers association, cooperatives, farmers, local government employees and representatives from other agricultural machineries companies.

Kubota and Iloilo New Agri’s booth displayed a powerful line up of covering all machineries from land preparation to transplanting and harvesting. Tractor displays range from B2140 (21 hp), B2420 (24 hp), L3218 (32 hp), L3608 (36hp) L4018 (40 hp), L5018 (50 hp), and M9540 (95 hp). Display units of transplanters SPW-48C and NSPU-68CMD were present including the SR-K800PH automatic seeder. The Kubota displays were even made more powerful by the outstanding combine harvesters DC-35 and DC-70. Furthermore, the L3608 was among the tractor models featured in the demonstration at the WESVIARC.

It is indeed a green day with Green Valley Machineries last September 9, 2017 as they spent a productive afternoon of product demonstration in Barangay Dajay, Surallah, South Cotabato. They conducted the activity with invited farmers around the area to showcase the performance and features of the Kubota combine harvester model DC-35 and tractor model L5018. The notable feedback for the DC-35 are its clean grain output and its ideal size for small rice fields, while the remarkable feedback for the L5018 is its powerful cultivating capability.

Held in the rice fields of Bintiku Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Purok Mangga, the numerous participants witnessed the high quality performance of the DC-35 and L5018. Majority of the attendees also showed interest in the newly-launched tractor models L3218 and L4018, which were displayed in the area.

Representing Kubota is sales engineer Ken Villareal, while representing Green Valley Machineries is sales manager Rey Legaste.

November 22 -24, 2017

Kubota Philippines Inc., in partnership with Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and Distributor Association (AMMDA) and authorized dealer, Agri Component Corporation, joins the 13th Philippine National Corn Congress held at the Philippine International Convention Center on November 22-24, 2017. With the theme, “Reshaping Corn as Staple: for Health and Wellness,” the congress was organized by the Philippine Maize Federation in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

DA Secretary Emmanuel F. Pinol, as keynote speaker, encouraged the participants to “look beyond corn as material for feeds only and try to innovate and come up with new products for corn.” Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of technology use, financing for farmers, and marketing.

In line with the importance of technology use, Kubota displayed and promoted its machineries for corn such as the L5018 tractor and the DC-70 combine harvester. Moreover, it promoted other products for corn farmers such as the M9540 and M108 tractors for a larger scale of corn farming. The participants include people in the agricultural and food sector from different places in the county, who travelled all the way to Manila just to attend the congress.

In support of advocacy for the Philippines of food production self-sufficiency through agricultural mechanization, Kubota Philippines, Inc. (KPI), the exclusive Philippine distributor of Kubota agricultural machineries, donated an NSPU-68CMD rice transplanter, an SR-K800PH automatic seeder, and 1,000 pieces nursery tray to the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) on November 24, 2017. The donation of rice planting machines was the highlight of KPI’s corporate social responsibility campaign for 2017. 

The donation is in support of KPI and IRRI’s advocacy for the Philippines of food production self-sufficiency through agricultural mechanization. Leading the turnover ceremonies were KPI president and general manager Yoshiaki Onishi, IRRI’s Zeigler Experiment Station head Dr. James Quilty, and IRRI Education head Dr. Peter Brothers. The ceremonies were held at the IRRI office in Los Baños, Laguna.

Roxas, Capiz the Seafood Capital of the Philippines fortified its crop by conducting a Hands-on Workshop Training for the Kubota DC70 PH Plus Combine Harvester during 3-day Product Presentation in cooperation with Capiz New Agri.

The Workshop for Service Mechanics was conducted on July 16-17, 2018, greatly attended with 103 participants. There was also a Product Presentation on the last day for owners that was highlighted by an early Christmas gift courtesy of Capiz New Agri featuring a 32” LED tv. How cool is that?

Koronadal City — The 1st Soccsksargen Rice Program Stakeholders Congress 2018 staged last August 8-9,2018 at Paraiso Verde, Koronadal City, South Cotabato. Seeding the theme “Sama-sama nating Pagyamanin ang Produksyon ng Palayan para sa Maunlad na Kabuhayan” was organized by the Department of Agriculture Region 12.

Quezon, Nueva Ecija – The 1st Mechanized Seedling Center in the Philippines was recognized by Kubota Philippines Inc. on September 14,2018. DR1 Farmtech Services recipient of the recognition pioneered the farm mechanization in Quezon, Nueva Ecija. In order to cater with the growing needs of rice seedlings and transplanting services, Kubota Philippines Inc. extended support to collaborate with Mr. Jonas del Rosario (business owner of DR1 Farmtech Services) to ensure that only high quality seedlings are being delivered to its customers. The venue this time is in the heart of Mindanao, Davao City. Held last Nov. 14-16,2018 at the D’ Leonor Inland Resort, Davao City.

Malolos, Bulacan – Committee members from Kubota Phil. Inc. (KPI) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and employees spent a joyful morning with Tahanang Mapagpala, Home for the Elderly on 16th November 2018.

On the day of the activity, KPI employees met the elders of Tahanang Mapagpala. We prepared snacks and lunch for the participants and staff while eagerly waiting the arrival of entertainers. We had a short bonding and pairing session with the elders before waving our goodbyes to them.

KPI also donated cash, food and supply to elders as well as gifts to the care givers. Lastly, we ended the whole activity with photo taking sessions with these lovely elderlies.

Kubota Philippines Inc. in cooperation with Agri-Plas Trading from Cabanatuan City, leads the actual field demonstration and training of Kubota Combine Harvester DC35.

Kubota Philippines, Inc. introduced this year the M7040 tractor. In participation with AIMS Agri-Ventures, one of the authorized dealers of Kubota, we conducted the product launching and demonstration of the unit. Numerous participants attended the said activity and witnessed the high quality performance of the M7040. Majority of the attendees also showed interest in the newly-launched tractor model. 

Regional introduction was held in three different municipalities in Camarines Sur, (Calabanga, Pili and Tigaon) on May 6-10, 2019.

AIMS Agri Ventures, in partnership with Kubota Philippines, Inc., held their Kubota Day on October 8, 2019 in Macagang Convention Center, Nabua, Camarines Sur. 

The event showcased all Kubota products together with the latest combine harvester, DC93PH. Engr. Charo P. Cordial presented the Product lines of Kubota for product awareness. Engr. Paul John Jasmin discussed the concerns of Parts Department e.g. Comparison of Genuine and non-genuine parts, genuine parts packaging, and the available stores for genuine parts. Mr. Marlon Daduya also highlighted the presentation of after-sales-services rendered by KPI. 

The activity was successfully attended and participated by 470 participants composed of farmers, owners, businessmen, and loyal customers of AIMS Agri Ventures.

Dubbed as the “Fruit Basket of the Philippines, Davao region’s economy is predominantly on agriculture and still remains the largest economic sector because of its competitive advantage.

A total of 19 partner dealers had regular updates on Sales Performance, Marketing Activities, Product Planning, and other support plans from Kubota Philippines Inc.

FLEX-O VIVA INDUSTRIES, INC. held its Corporate Social Responsibility on September 17, 2020 in Hagonoy Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative located at P-2 San Isidro, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur. The activity was attended by Cooperative members and caught a sight of a successful turn over Ceremony of 4X4 Centrifugal Water pump coupled with RK95 diesel engine to the Cooperative.  Hagonoy Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative have 158 members as to date that will benefit the donation. 

During the event, FLEX-O VIVA promoted all Kubota product lines and made a promo of Php 50,000 discount to whoever place an order or will reserve a  unit for either tractor or harvester on the day.

GREEN VALLEY MACHINERIES conducted its Corporate Social Responsibility on September 26, 2020 in Topland Communal Irrigation Association located at Barrio 7 Koronadal City. The activity was attended by Cooperative members and caught a sight of a successful turn over Ceremony of NS100 Water pump coupled with RK95 diesel engine with our dealer partner Green Valley Machineries. 

During the event, all Kubota product lines were promoted to Topland Communal Irrigation Association that have more or less than 300 members as to date.

Kubota Philippines, Inc. together with RHEMA AGRIMACH & INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION the helps one of the agricultural organizations in Lanao Del Norte, Abaga Lala. The Farmers Association, Inc. (ALFAI) was given a water pump coupled with RK-95 diesel engine for free. The water pump will be of great help to the organization members having the sum of about 100 ha land area.

If you google “when was the skid steer invented?” various sources will tell you that the first skid steer prototype was an odd-looking three-wheeled loader. If you dig deeper, you will learn that the first skid steer was invented in 1957 by brothers Louis and Cyril Keller in Rothsay, Minn. The brothers were the owners of Keller Mfg., a small fabricating and general repair business. Their main business was a single-stage snowblower, but in 1956 a local turkey farmer approached the brothers to build a machine to clean out turkey barns. Tractors of the day were not maneuverable enough and were too heavy for the second story. By 1957, the first skid steer was being tested and it exceeded expectations.

Every student is earnest with high aspiration and they stimulates our employee positively.

It is our great honor that KPI can be help that they improve our farming and contribute to the Philippines for the future.

After a long pandemic, we, KPI, held our first “KUBOTA SAKA DAY 2022” together with our Authorized Dealer, Equity Machineries Inc., with the theme of “The Comeback is Always Stronger than the Setback” in Alicia, Isabela.

This event is intended for our beloved heroes, our farmers. We also proudly launched the new machineries of Kubota Philippines, the MU5702 Tractor, KW4 Rice Transplanter, KW6 Rice Transplanter, and DC-70Pro PH Combine Harvester. Part of the launch was the product demonstration so that farmers and operators could try and experience the new products.

We are so happy as many farmers attended the event. We had a series of activities like games, free haircuts, special numbers, raffle, and so on.

We hope to see more farmers on our next Kubota Saka Days!
